Khatrimaza+7star Access
Governments have increasingly cracked down on such sites. In India, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) regularly block access to domains associated with Khatrimaza and 7star under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. However, these sites evade blocks by constantly changing domain names and mirroring content. For individual users, accessing these sites carries legal risk, including fines and, in extreme cases, imprisonment. More immediately, users face severe cybersecurity threats: malicious ads can install ransomware, spyware, or trojans onto devices; personal data such as passwords and banking information can be harvested; and the lack of encryption makes users vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks.
