1️⃣ Locate your Serial Number (usually on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop or under "System Information" in Windows). 2️⃣ Visit the official ASUS Support Site and enter the number.

Before you begin the check, have the following ready. Depending on your region and the device type, you may need one or all of these:

A user buys an ASUS motherboard from an unauthorized reseller in the EU. The serial number shows "warranty expired" because the manufacturing date was 14 months ago. The user has a 3-year retailer warranty, but the ASUS tool refuses to accept it without a fight with support. Result: Tool fails.
