The tool is most commonly deployed to connect legacy manufacturing equipment (CNC machines, barcode scanners, weigh scales) to modern network-attached storage (NAS) or cloud-based SCADA systems.
: Flow control mismatch. The Twain v5 tool defaults to hardware flow control (RTS/CTS), but many legacy devices use none. Fix : Edit the connection → Serial tab → Set "Flow Control" to None . Also, enable "XON/XOFF passthrough" under Advanced. twain v5 network connection tool
