General Information About APK Files

Source : APK files are how Android apps are distributed. They can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, or obtained from other sources on the internet. Security : For security reasons, Android devices have a setting that blocks installations from unknown sources by default.

Installing an APK File

Allow Unknown Sources :

Go to your device's Settings . Navigate to Security (or Biometrics and security on some devices). Look for Unknown sources or Install unknown apps and enable it. You might need to toggle a switch or select "Allow" for a specific source (like your browser or file manager).

Download the APK :

Using your device's web browser, download the APK file. For this specific file, ensure you trust the source.

Install the APK :

Once the download is complete, navigate to the file using your file manager. Tap on the APK file to start the installation process. Your device might ask for additional permissions. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Post-Installation

Revoke Installation Permission : For security, it's a good practice to disable the "Unknown sources" option again after installation.
