The HG8145V5 has a strict version control mechanism. You generally cannot "downgrade" firmware, and you often cannot jump major revision numbers in one go. For example, moving from version V300Rxxx to V500Rxxx often requires an intermediate stepping firmware. If you try to force an incompatible file, the router will reject it with a "Version mismatch" or "File check failed" error.
