Keeping the Lights On – WBPDCL’s Real-Time Generation Matters
As of the current timestamp, WBPDCL’s combined thermal generation fleet is operating with a focus on meeting the peak demand of West Bengal. The real-time generation data aggregates the output from five generating units, reporting the Gross Generation and Net Export to the grid. Operators utilize SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to feed live data to the central control room, allowing for immediate adjustments in response to frequency fluctuations and grid demands. The current statistics reflect the availability of units, plant load factor (PLF), and the total dispatched power in Megawatts (MW). wbpdcl real time generation
By tracking real-time MW against rated capacity, one can infer which units are offline. Keeping the Lights On – WBPDCL’s Real-Time Generation
