They decide to enter a live-in relationship to enjoy their remaining months in India together. They move into the home of an elderly couple, Gopi (Naseeruddin Shah) and Charu (Leela Samson). As they witness the selfless love Gopi has for his wife, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, Adi and Tara begin to question their own views on commitment and their fast-approaching separation.
