The Balkan Line is a 2019 Russian-Serbian action thriller directed by Andrey Volgin. It is loosely based on a true, harrowing event: the takeover of the Slatina Airport in Priština, Kosovo, in June 1999, just after the Kosovo War. The story follows a small, elite Russian peacekeeping unit tasked with secretly securing the airport ahead of NATO forces. They are joined by a Bosnian Muslim fighter (a former enemy) and a local Serbian woman caught in the crossfire.
