As the group tries to make sense of their near-death experience, they begin to die off one by one, in a series of gruesome and creative accidents. It becomes clear that death is determined to claim them, and they must find a way to outsmart it. The group turns to Tony Cardo (Tony Todd), a mysterious figure who has survived a similar experience in the past.
