Vixen Pepper has addressed these critiques head-on. In a Variety interview (digital edition), she stated: "I am not the enemy of indie creators. I am proof that a ladder exists. XO Entertainment built the platform, but I climbed it. My goal is to mentor five new talents this year to produce their own content through our distribution arm."
