If the command line fails, advanced users can pull the database file directly, edit it manually, and push it back. setedit does not currently support editing this table

setedit works by directly opening the settings.db SQLite database and selecting the appropriate table ( system , global , secure ). The source code of setedit (from AOSP) contains a hardcoded list of writable tables. If the provided table name does not match one of these strings, the tool returns the error without attempting to open the database. edit it manually
